Police say they hope someone will recognise the man

Officers investigating more than 10 sexual assaults on London's bus network have released an image of a suspect they want to identify and speak with.

He sits next to his victims, touches them, and does not speak to them, the Metropolitan Police said.

He has been seen mainly in the afternoons and evenings in Ealing, Hammersmith, Westminster and Hounslow.

The Met initially said the attacker targeted Muslim women but this was later retracted.

More than 10 incidents, which happened between February 2022 and September 2023, are being investigated.

The Met said for many of the offences, the suspect or the victim boarded the bus at Westfield Shepherds Bush, Ealing Broadway or Acton High Street.

Det Sgt Matthew Brown said: "While his face is covered in the images, we are hoping that anyone who knows him will recognise him or his clothing and get in touch.

"Similarly, if you believe that you may have been targeted by this man, but have not yet spoken with police, please do get in touch - at the very least so that we can know that you are OK and are being supported."

This report and headline initially stated a man was targeting Muslim woman, based on information provided by the Metropolitan Police, which was later retracted.
