A 21-year-old man has been charged with an antisemitic racially aggravated public order offence in north London.

The man is accused of shouting insults at someone wearing Orthodox Jewish clothing outside Stamford Hill Overground station at 17:50 BST on Tuesday.

The victim reported the abuse to British Transport Police officers who arrested the suspect.

The Metropolitan Police said it is now dealing with the case.

The force said once they identified the suspect, investigators discovered he was also wanted on suspicion of committing a separate racially aggravated public order offence in May.

This relates to an incident in Walthamstow, north-east London, where he is accused of being verbally abusive and threatening to kill a man for being in a mixed relationship.
