Tickets for London's New Year's Eve fireworks display will go on sale on Friday 3 November, the mayor's office has announced.

More than 100,000 ticket holders, each paying £20, are expected to gather on the banks of the River Thames to welcome in 2024.

The event will be televised and is expected to sell out, City Hall said.

Ticketing was introduced in 2014 to ease the strain on transport and the emergency services.

Welcoming in the start of this year was the first time since 2019 that people gathered along the Thames Embankment to watch the 12-minute firework display due to the coronavirus pandemic.
