Brixton: Man charged with murdering mother

A man has been charged with murdering his mother in south London.
Police were first called to reports of a woman being injured at a home on Strathleven Road in Brixton at 08:10 GMT on Thursday.
Christie Eugene, 64, was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service but later died at 22:05 GMT, the Met Police said.
Her son Jason Phinn, 35, was arrested at the scene and taken into custody, the force added.
Mr Phinn, of Strathleven Road, appeared at Croydon Magistrates' Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on 7 November.
