Slade Green munitions disaster: Footage shows extent of destruction

On 18 February 1924, 12 young women and one man were killed when fire ripped through their factory hut as they dismantled munitions on marshes near Slade Green in east London.

Footage shot in the aftermath of the disaster shows the destruction caused by the explosion.

A memorial service is set to take place in February to remember the 13 people who died.
