Two men have been charged with murder over the fatal stabbing of a 16-year-old boy in north London.

Taye Faik died in Kendal Gardens, Edmonton, Enfield, at 23:27 BST on 1 October.

Josiah Semper, 18, and Bernard Carroll, 19, have been charged with murder.

Mr Semper, from Palmers Green, is due to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday and Mr Carroll, from Winchmore Hill, is set to appear at the same court on 2 February.

The Metropolitan Police said the victim's family was being supported by specially trained officers.

As part of the investigation, a 16-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of murder and released on bail. Three others - a man aged 20 and two women aged 22 - were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and bailed.

The Met is appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact the force or call Crimestoppers anonymously.
