Meeting the animals and people of Hackney City Farm

When people think of Hackney, they probably picture busy high streets, vibrant nightlife, and an abundance of coffee shops.

But beyond the pubs and sirens of east London, there’s a hidden oasis of calm - Hackney City Farm.

People who work there say they find the animals and soil a great leveller, and they grow in confidence whilst working outside in the fresh air.
