Croydon: Man in court on murder charge after fatal stabbing

A 19-year-old man has appeared at court charged with murder after a fatal stabbing in south London.
Michael Peixoto, 27, was attacked and stabbed by a group of men on Mayfield Crescent in Thornton Heath, Croydon, at about 22:30 GMT on 19 December.
The Met said John Budal, of Ena Road in Norbury, south London, appeared at Bromley Magistrates' Court on Saturday.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday.
A 22-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder on 24 December has been bailed while inquiries continue, the force added.
