Hackney fire: Woman found dead after flat blaze

LFB said it is investigating the cause of the blaze alongside the Metropolitan Police
A woman has been found dead after a fire in a flat in east London.
London Fire Brigade said it was called to the blaze on Homerton High Street in Hackney at about 08:20 GMT and about 30 firefighters attended.
The fire, which was in an apartment inside the five-floor building, was brought under control by about 09:40, it added.
On arrival, crews found the woman in the flat and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation by the fire service and the Metropolitan Police.
Firefighters from Homerton, Leyton, Stoke Newington and surrounding fire stations went to tackle the blaze.
