Police are appealing for witnesses following the death of an 83-year-old woman, who was hit by a car on a zebra crossing in north London.

Grigoria Yiannoullou was struck along with a man, also in his 80s, as they attempted to cross Bury Road, Wood Green, on 7 November, at 11:15 GMT.

Mrs Yiannoullou died from her injuries four days later.

The driver stopped at the scene and was interviewed under caution, the Metropolitan Police said.

No arrests have been made.

Det Sgt Rebecca Collens said: "This incident happened on a zebra crossing on Bury Road, close to the junction of Lymington Avenue in Wood Green.

"If you were in the area and witnessed the incident, or if you were a driver who may have captured events on dashcam footage, then please get in contact if you have yet to do so."
