Man runs 5km every day for one year for Hackney hospice funds
On 1 February 2023, Alfie Linger began the epic mission of completing a 5km run every day for a whole year.
He wanted to run to raise money for St Joseph's Hospice in Hackney,, external which had helped care for his dad, former professional footballer Paul Linger, who died of pancreatic cancer in October 2021.
On 31 January 2024, Alfie completed the final 5km run and BBC London's Chris Slegg was there to meet him.
