Harry Styles: Alleged stalker sent singer 8,000 cards, court hears
- Published
A woman accused of stalking Harry Styles sent him 8,000 cards in less than a month, a court has heard.
Myra Carvalho, 35, sent the pop star handwritten letters and ordered a series of cards for him online which were sent to his address, Harrow Crown Court was told.
Prosecutors argue some of the cards sent by Ms Carvalho were wedding cards.
Ms Carvalho did not enter a plea and was remanded in custody for the case to be heard at the same court in April.
Court documents show Brazilian citizen Ms Carvalho had been staying in a backpacking hostel in Earl's Court in west London, after arriving in the UK in December.
Her family did not know she had travelled to the country, the court was told.
Two of the letters were hand-delivered to the 30-year-old singer's address, prosecutors said.
Ms Carvalho is due to appear at the same court on 19 April.
