The jury in the trial of a man accused of planning to kill a solicitor in a far-right terrorist plot has been discharged for legal reasons.

Cavan Medlock, 31, was on trial at Kingston Crown Court over the alleged planned attack on 7 September 2020.

Mr Medlock, of Harrow, north-west London, denied charges of making a threat to kill and the preparation of terrorist acts.

Judge Joel Bennathan KC dismissed the jury on the third day of the trial.

"I am very much afraid that despite your efforts, attendance and concentration, I will have to discharge you from this court," he said.
