Walthamstow: Two people killed in house fire

Investigators are examining the scene of the house fire in Walthamstow

Two people have died in a house fire in east London that broke out at about 22:00 BST on Sunday.

An end-of-terrace home on Forest Road in Walthamstow was destroyed in the blaze before firefighters brought it under control just over two hours later, the London Fire Brigade said.

The two were inside the house and were pronounced dead at the scene by medics from the London Ambulance Service.

A police investigation is under way into the cause of the fire.
