We Are FSTVL: Dagenham event cancelled amid safety concerns

A music festival that was set to take place next month has been cancelled over safety concerns.
We Are FSTVL 2024, in Dagenham, east London, was scheduled for the weekend of 25-26 May.
Organisers announced online they were "devastated" the event had been pulled for "reasons beyond our control".
Barking and Dagenham council said the Central Park site could not safely host the show because of the amount of recent rainfall.
It is not the first time the event has faced problems - in 2019 long queues led to crowds pushing through security gates.
Swedish DJ Eric Prydz was to headline this year on the Saturday, while electronic music duo Chase and Status were to take the top slot on Sunday.
We are FSTVL said it had created "detailed plans" for the event, which it had hoped would be "better than ever before".
It said time and money had been invested into the weekend, which it "couldn't wait to share" with fans.
"Sadly, and just days before we were due to attend on site to start the build, London Borough of Barking and Dagenham accepted that they could not deliver a safe event space that was fit for the purpose of allowing us to stage We Are FSTVL 2024," organisers wrote online.
They said they were "heartbroken by this decision" but confirmed ticket holders would be refunded.
Barking and Dagenham council said the event was cancelled because of health and safety concerns.
A spokesman said: "LBBD's recent assessment of Central Park, after record levels of rainfall this year, has found the site cannot safely host the physical demands of We Are FSTVL's equipment and audience.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."
