Bethnal Green: Murder charge after Jack Hague died in stabbing

Jack Hague died at the scene of the attack, police said

A 24-year-old man has been charged with murder after a man was stabbed on a residential street in east London on 5 May.

The Metropolitan Police said officers were called at about 20:20 BST to reports of a fight on Corfield Street in Bethnal Green, Tower Hamlets.

They found Jack Hague, 38, with stab wounds and he later died at the scene.

Mohammed Ikram Uddin is due to appear at Thames Magistrates' Court later on Saturday.

The force added Mr Hague's family have been informed of the charge and continue to be supported by specially trained officers.
