A man has died after being found with serious injuries at his home, police have said.

Lancashire Police said Paul Inskip, 55, died in hospital on Saturday, a week after he was found at his house on Harley Street in Burnley.

The force said his death was "being treated as a potential homicide" and a post-mortem examination was due to be carried out.

Two men and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of assault.

The woman, aged in her 40s, and the two men, in their 30s, have been bailed pending further inquiries.

Officers were called to Mr Inskip's home at about 15:20 GMT on 2 March.

Det Ch Insp Mark Dickinson said it was "not yet clear" how Mr Inskip came by his injuries "and I would appeal to anyone who may have any information to come forward".

He said he was "especially keen" to hear from anyone who had seen or spoken to Mr Inskip between 28 February and 2 March or had "any knowledge of how he came by his injuries".

He also asked any drivers with dashcam footage of Harley Street between those dates to contact the force.
