Boy falls from Camelot theme park ride Excalibur 2

A boy has fallen from a ride at a theme park in Lancashire and suffered serious injuries.
The child fell from the Excalibur 2 ride at Camelot Theme Park, Chorley, at about 13:00 BST, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) said.
Police said the boy, aged 12, came from Halifax and his injuries were not life threatening.
The ride is described on Camelot's website as "a fearsome, stomach-churning test of the nerves".
It is a wheel-shaped rotating structure which spins around.
The North West Ambulance Service said the boy was taken to Wigan Royal Infirmary after being seriously injured.
An HSE spokesman said: "A boy was seriously injured when he fell from the Excalibur 2 ride at Camelot Theme Park, Chorley, at about 1pm.
"Lancashire Police are leading the investigation, with support from HSE, and our inspectors will be visiting the site."
A spokeswoman for Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust said the boy's condition was "comfortable and stable".
