Drivers are warned of disruption around Haven Bridge

A council in Norfolk has warned motorists to expect some disruption during overnight repairs to a bridge.

Haven Bridge in Great Yarmouth will be closed to traffic from Wednesday evening until Thursday morning.

Engineers will repair a fault causing difficulties in closing the bridge after lifting to allow river traffic through, Norfolk County Council said.

The work can only be carried out with the bridge slightly raised, preventing its use by road traffic.

Diversions will be in place and the work has been arranged by EastPort UK.
