Ex-soldiers to teach at Costessey school on strike day

Former soldiers are to run classes at a Norfolk school during planned public sector strikes next week.
The Ormiston Victory Academy in Costessey, near Norwich, had hoped to bring in serving soldiers to keep classes going on 30 November.
The Army has since pulled out but the school said it would bring in ex-soldiers who run mentoring programmes.
Principal Rachel de Souza said it was about not disrupting pupils' education and supporting working parents.
The former soldiers will run classes as part of a bid to provide an insight into different walks of life, the school said.
"Everyone is suffering at the moment because of the economic situation and we don't want to make things harder for anyone," said Ms de Souza.
"It's a simple principle - if we can stay open and support our kids' education, then that's what we must do."
About half the teachers at the 850-pupil school are expected to join the walkout over pension reform.
