A three-year-old boy has died after being hit by a car in Norfolk.

Police were called to reports of a crash in King Street, King's Lynn, at about 18:00 GMT - while the annual Mart Fair was taking place.

A Norfolk Police spokesman said the boy had been hit by a car and taken to the town's Queen Elizabeth II Hospital with serious head injuries.

The boy was confirmed dead at the hospital. It is believed he had been with his mother in the town.
