King's Lynn Enterprise and Innovation Centre to be built

About 120 jobs are expected to be created by a new business and manufacturing centre in west Norfolk.

The King's Lynn Enterprise and Innovation Centre (KLIC) will be built after it secured £2.5m of funding from a local enterprise partnership.

The complex at the NORA brownfield regeneration site in South Lynn had previously stalled, but it now hopes to be opened by the end of 2013.

It will be operated by Norfolk and Waveney Enterprise Services (NWES).

Andy Wood, chairman of New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership, said: "I'm delighted that we can support this important project and help kick-start jobs growth in the area.

"KLIC will be a powerful catalyst for innovation and has been made possible through businesses, the education sector and local authority working together. It is a really exciting development."
