A man and a woman have been found dead in gardens on a Norfolk housing estate.
The pair had both sustained gun wounds during an incident on the Compit Hills estate, in Roughton, Norfolk Police confirmed.
Officers were called at about 14:50 GMT to the estate, of Roughton Road, near Cromer.
The woman, thought to be in her 40s, was found in the front garden of a house and the man, in his 50s, was found in a rear garden nearby.
"Officers can confirm that both the woman and the man are thought to have died from gunshot wounds", police said in a statement.
Det Supt Peter Hornby, who is leading the inquiry, said: "Whilst I understand this is a very shocking incident for the neighbours of the two people involved, I can reassure them that, at this stage, we are not looking for anyone else in connection with it."
