Royal Sandringham estate worker in lawnmower lake fall

A worker at the Royal Sandringham estate in Norfolk is in a critical condition after falling into a lake.

The man, who is in his 30s, is understood to have been on a sit-on lawnmower at the estate, the Queen's country retreat, when he fell.

The accident, happened at Sandringham's Lower Lake at about 13:30 BST on Monday.

The man was rescued from the water and airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

A spokesman for Norfolk Police said the man was in a "critical condition" in hospital.
