- Published
Labour has lost overall control of Great Yarmouth but remains the largest party on the borough council.
Of the 13 seats contested, Conservatives held two and Labour one but each lost five to UKIP, giving the party 10.
Labour retained control of Norwich City Council where none of the 14 seats up for election changed hands.
The turnout was 38.1%, a 12% increase on 2012. In all but one Labour seat (contested by UKIP) UKIP came second.
The count of votes for the European Parliament, which also took place on Thursday, will begin on Sunday.
