Coastguard rescuers are searching for a kite-surfer after a lone board was reported out to sea

A search in the North Sea for a kite-surfer has been stood down, Humber Coastguard said.

It launched a search about a mile out to sea, off Cley in Norfolk, after receiving a report from a member of the public about an unmanned kite board.

The coastguard carried out a shoreline search, with Sheringham lifeboat searching the seas.

The coastguard said a fishing vessel in the area had also failed to spot either a kite-surfer or any equipment.
