Great Yarmouth: Police find 90 cannabis plants in housing terrace
- Published
Ninety cannabis plants have been seized from a property in a residential area after anonymous tip-offs from the public, police said.
Officers raided the address on Alderson Road in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, on Wednesday morning.
They discovered the haul alongside growing equipment.
A man, in his 30s, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of cannabis cultivation and taken to the town's police station for questioning.
Sgt Shane Carroll, of Great Yarmouth's Safer Neighbourhood Team, said the find was the "result of a collaborative effort of policing teams and the valuable decisions of members of the public sharing their concerns with us via Crimestoppers, external".
He added: "We understand that, unfortunately, not everyone feels comfortable speaking to police directly, and in those circumstances, people can report suspicious activity or concerns 100% anonymously to Crimestoppers."
