Man injured in suspected Norwich stabbing

A police cordon was in place on Benedicts Street but has now been lifted

A man has been injured in a suspected city centre stabbing.

Officers were called to St Benedicts Street, Norwich, at about 02:30 GMT to reports of an assault.

One man was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with what were believed to be stab wounds, police said.

Norfolk Police said no arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.

A spokeswoman for the force said the man was in a "stable condition".
