Pedestrian dies after being hit by two cars at Witton, near Brundall

Traffic came to a halt after a man died on the A47 on Saturday night

A pedestrian has been killed after being struck by two vehicles, police said.

A man in his 20s was struck by a white Hyundai i30 and a black Vauxhall Insignia, at Witton, near Brundall, Norfolk.

The incident occurred shortly before 22:00 GMT on Saturday on the eastbound carriageway of the road.

Emergency services attended and pronounced the man dead at the scene, officers said.

The road was closed in both directions and reopened at about 06:30 on Sunday.

Norfolk Police has appealed for witnesses who saw the collision, or who may have any relevant dashcam footage of either vehicle or the pedestrian prior to the collision, to contact the force.
