Rickshaws coming to Thetford to tackle loneliness and poor mobility
- Published
Free rickshaw rides are being introduced in a Norfolk town to help people struggling with loneliness to get out and about.
The Rickshaw Revolution is due to launch in Thetford in April having already been introduced in nearby Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk.
Richard Bridgman OBE, 77, is the joint founder of the volunteer-led scheme and said: "Everyone has embraced the idea."
The initiative is supported by donations.
Rickshaws were introduced to Bury St Edmunds in 2018 by Sam Reid and Libby Ranzetta, and Mrs Reid said: "It is nice to know we are doing something unique and beneficial to the community."
