A cash machine was a stolen from inside a supermarket in Northamptonshire after a forklift truck was used to destroy the store's external wall.

The Co-Op in St Osyth's Lane, Oundle, was targeted between 0100 and 0130 BST on Thursday.

Police said the offenders fled in two separate vehicles, one of which was a pick-up truck containing the free standing cash dispenser.

The device was later found in Wansford, near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.
