Northamptonshire man accused of wife's murder remanded

A 61-year-old man charged with murdering his wife at their home in a Northamptonshire village has appeared before magistrates.

Colin Adlard, is accused of attacking his wife Wendy, 59, in Chase Park Road, Yardley Hastings, early on Friday.

Mrs Adlard was taken to hospital, where she died.

Mr Adlard was remanded in custody by Northampton magistrates to appear before a preliminary hearing at the town's crown court on Tuesday.
