Northamptonshire's £60m renewable energy centre plans on display

The company said that the plant could be built by 2014 if plans are approved
Plans for a £60m renewable energy centre have gone on display to the public in a Northamptonshire town.
If the project is approved, the centre would convert household and business waste into heat and power for up to 700 homes in Desborough.
The 1.7 hectare (4.2 acres) facility is earmarked to be built at Magnetic Park, to the north of the town.
The plans will be on display at Desborough Leisure Centre on Saturday.
Jonathan Chastney, from Origin Renewable Energy, said: "There are a number of businesses in the area that can also use the heat and power that would be generated from the facility."
Before submitting an application to Kettering Borough Council the company, Origin Renewable Energy, has to consult local people.
