Bomb disposal experts have destroyed an unexploded grenade that was found in gardens in Norfolk.

Police were called to Dickens Court, Great Yarmouth, at about 9:30 BST after the grenade was discovered in the communal gardens of a block of flats.

It was found by a council contractor as he picked litter from a shrub bed.

A Royal Logistic Corps bomb disposal team took the grenade to South Beach and destroyed it in a controlled explosion.
