Corby link road opening announced

The new £34m Corby Link Road is due to open to the public on 23 May.
The scheme has created a four-mile (6.5km) long dual carriageway connecting the existing A43 near the village of Stanion to the A6003 near Barford Bridge, north of Kettering.
As well as improving the link between the north of the county and the A14, the road will aim to reduce congestion on other local roads.
The road has taken just under two years to complete.
The link road has been built by Northamptonshire County Council.
Jim Harker, leader of the Conservative-controlled council, said the scheme was "essential to unlocking development in Corby and the surrounding area".
The Government has contributed £20.5m, with the council funding the rest of the £34m scheme.
The work was carried out by Interserve Construction Limited.
