Police are investigating what they believe may be two drug-related deaths in the same Northamptonshire town.

A 46-year-old man died on Sunday at an address in Stamford Road, Kettering, and a second man, 33, died after collapsing at The Earl of Dalkeith pub in the town on Thursday night.

Both were regular drug users, police said, and they have urged others to be "vigilant about what they are taking".

Toxicology tests on the two men have not yet been completed.

"We're not sure, but we're investigating that it's either a batch of Class A serious drugs that are stronger than expected or in some way contaminated, or it could be that people are mixing different drugs and that is causing the fatal problems," said Ch Insp Thompson from Northamptonshire Police.
