A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a woman in Northampton.
Police were called to Agnes Road at 19:30 GMT on Monday to reports that a woman had been seriously injured. She died a short time later.
The 41-year-old man, who comes from the town, was arrested and is in custody.
Post-mortem tests are due to take place later. An address in Agnes Road and a nearby shop have been sealed off by police.
