A massive blaze at a recycling plant next to a train line has cause severe rail disruption.

Six fire engines are on the scene at Finedon Road Industrial Estate in Wellingborough and the fire service is advising motorists to avoid the area.

East Midlands Trains said the Leicester/Corby to Bedford to London St Pancras line would remain closed for a number of hours,

The line was closed because of fears gas cylinders could explode.

Residents who live near the warehouse have been told to close their windows.

A spokesman for the rail firm said the "route will be disrupted for the remainder of the evening and therefore we recommend you do not attempt to travel to/from London St Pancras".
