Police officers have released a CCTV image of a man they think may have spoken to a vulnerable woman who has gone missing.

Police said she was last seen on Saturday at about 08:00 BST, near Cheyne Walk, Northampton.

A man on a Voi scooter was seen briefly talking to the woman as she was sitting by the canal bank near the yellow bridge behind Morrisons supermarket.

Both then headed off towards Towcester Road, said police.

Officers have been searching the area for her and wish to speak with the man.

The woman is described as white, about 5ft 5in (168cms) tall and in her mid-30s.

She has medium length black hair and was wearing a cream one-piece and white trainers. She was also carrying a yellow JD bag and an Asda bag.

Officers said the woman left behind a yellow jacket.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Northamptonshire Police.
