Passengers have been warned about rail delays and cancellations after trains were damaged by ice.

East Midlands Railway (EMR) had to take trains out of service earlier this morning on the Corby to London St Pancras route.

Several journeys have been cancelled from Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough.

EMR said repairs had now been completed and a normal timetable should resume at about 14:00 GMT.

The train operator added: "We are implementing measures to prevent such occurrences in the future and we apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers."
