Rothwell: Man charged with GBH after assault at bar

A man has been charged after a man was left with serious injuries after an assault at a bar.

Northamptonshire Police were called to Bell Hill in Rothwell at about 23:45 GMT on Friday.

The victim, a 38-year-old, was taken to hospital where he remained in a serious but stable condition.

A man aged in his 30s will appear at Northampton Magistrates' Court on 2 January charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

The man is also charged with being in possession of cannabis.
