Corby Town FC fan banned from ground over racist abuse

A football fan has been banned from a club's ground after racially abusing a visiting player during a match.
The incident happened in the 70th minute of Corby Town FC's clash with fellow non-league division one side Spalding United at Steel Park.
In a statement, Corby Town FC said the supporter had been "immediately ejected" after hurling abuse at Spalding player Riley O'Sullivan.
Manager Gary Setchell also apologised after the match on Saturday.
Speaking to Corby Town TV, external, Mr Setchell said: "It's not acceptable in society, it's not acceptable to think you can pay £10 and shout at someone racist obscenities from behind a barrier.
"I apologise on behalf of the football club to the lad who's come here to play football."
'Not tolerated'
Centre forward O'Sullivan accepted the apology and publicly thanked the club and players, external for their reaction to the incident.
Visitors Spalding United beat the home team 2-1.
