Man remanded over head injury death in New Basford

Casey was found unconscious on Sunday morning and later died in hospital

A 26-year-old man charged with murdering a woman in Nottingham has been remanded in custody.

Casey Brittle, aged 21, was found unconscious at a house in Springfield Street, New Basford, on Sunday morning but died later.

A post-mortem examination concluded she died as a result of multiple blunt impact injuries to the head.

Sanchez Williams, from Lathkill Close, Nottingham, appeared before magistrates in the city on Thursday.

He is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Friday.
