Respects paid to war dead at new Clifton memorial

L/Cpl Kieron Hill was killed while working with Afghan troops
People have paid their respects to the war dead on Remembrance Day for the first time at a new memorial in Clifton, Nottingham.
The monument to honour L/Cpl Kieron Hill was unveiled in April.
It was built by donations to remember those from the estate who had died in conflict.
The Kieron Hill Memorial Garden was also opened by his mother Vicki Holmes. The 20-year-old died in Afghanistan in 2009.
The garden was the second phase of the project to honour him, with funds raised locally and a £3,000 grant from Nottingham City Council.
L/Cpl Hill's father John said: "I am very proud of how the war memorial has been received by local people and the respect they have shown.
"The garden will provide a peaceful place for contemplation and reflection."
L/Cpl Hill died in an explosion while on patrol with the 2nd Battalion the Mercian regiment in May 2009.
