Detective charged with raping woman in Nottingham

A police detective has been charged with raping a woman at a house in Nottingham.
Det Sgt Trevor Gray, 46, is accused of assaulting the 43-year-old woman in the early hours of 24 July, while off duty.
Nottinghamshire Police said the allegation was made the next day, and the officer was later suspended.
Det Sgt Gray is charged with rape, attempted rape and sexual touching, and is due to appear at Derby Magistrates' Court on 23 November.
A force spokesperson said: "A lengthy and detailed investigation has been carried out.
"Det Sgt Gray, who was based at a regional unit, was suspended from duty on 27 July pending the outcome of the investigation."
