Nottinghamshire cyclist injured in hit-and-run crash

A cyclist has been seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident in Nottinghamshire.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash at 18:00 GMT on Friday at Blidworth Lane between Blidworth and Rainworth.

The cyclist was taken to King's Mill Hospital in Mansfield with life-threatening injuries.

Blidworth Lane was closed in both directions while a forensic investigation took place.

Witnesses were asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police's crash investigation team.
