Hucknall tram collision leaves girl seriously injured

Police have appealed for witnessess to the accident

A teenage girl was seriously injured when she was struck by a tram in Nottinghamshire.

Police were called to the junction of Hucknall Lane and Nottingham Road in Hucknall, at about 19:00 GMT, to reports of someone being hit by a tram.

Services to Hucknall are terminating at Moor Bridge while forensic examinations are carried out.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police.
