Hucknall miners mourn their communities during Thatcher funeral

Former mine workers in Nottinghamshire marked the death of Margaret Thatcher by holding a minute's silence - for the demise of their communities.

Ex-miners and their families attended the event at a statue next to a former pit in Hucknall which is now a supermarket.

"We've come here today to mourn the closure of our pits and the loss of our communities," said Eric Eaton, who organised the event.
