A 65-year-old woman has been arrested as part of an investigation into historical child sex abuse at children's homes in Nottinghamshire.

The arrest relates to alleged abuse between 1972 and 1973 at the former Bracken House home in Bulwell.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of indecent assault and aiding and abetting a rape offence.

It is the 11th arrest relating to allegations of sex abuse at children's homes from the 1960s to 2000.

The woman has been bailed pending further inquiries.

Operation Daybreak was originally set up to investigate allegations reported to have taken place at the former Beechwood Children's Home in Mapperley but was expanded as further witnesses came forward.
