Worksop: Murder charge after woman found dead

A man has been charged with murder after a woman was found dead at a house.

Mckyla Taylor, 27, was discovered at an address in Lowtown Street, Worksop, Nottinghamshire, shortly after 02:00 BST on Tuesday, Nottinghamshire Police said.

David Jackson, 66, of Lowtown Street, Worksop, has now been charged with murder.

He was due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Friday.

Det Insp Kaz Smithson said: "Our thoughts at this time remain with Mckyla's family, who are being supported by specially-trained officers."

In a statement released through police, Ms Taylor's family said she was "a beautiful and caring daughter, mummy, sister, auntie, granddaughter and cousin".

"We're just truly broken that our darling Mckyla has been taken from us in the worst possible way and we will never get to see her beautiful face and smile again," they said.
